S.G. Raghavan is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering and specialised in Spacecraft Quality Assurance and Test & Evaluation with more than 45 years of experience in key roles Aircraft, Spacecraft and diversified industries.

He served in HAL as a Product Assurance engineer for three years.

He was the Head of Product Assurance (Mechanical Group) in ISRO Satellite Centre and was the Deputy Project Director/Project Manager for Aryabhatta, Bhaskara, APPLE, IRS 1-A and Insat-2A Spacecraft, serving in ISRO for 20 years. Was responsible for QA operations for the launch of these spacecraft in Russia and French Guiana. Has participated in many environmental test programmes in CNES, Toulouse and USA.

Joined KHMD in 2001 as General Manager and served as Vice-President for 7 years. Played a pivotal role in establishing aerospace microelectronics and automotive & avionics    manufacturing facilities. Was  the Chief Executive Officer  for six years prior to retirement.
